GARY’S PLACE SALONS PLAN TO TAKE ON NEW LOCATION AND NAME
|
November, 2007 will mark the
beginning of a new era for Gary’s Place Salons and Spas. The 33 year salon
and spa will consolidate two locations to Fulton Rd and Whipple Avenue in a
brand new well appointed building. This includes the Country Fair Shopping
Center location and the Whipple Rd N.W. location in N. Canton.
“Consolidating the two salons will enable us to better serve our loyal
clientele at both locations”, commented Jeff Scott, President of the
salonspa chain.
“We will be able to provide state of the art facilities and enhanced
services that our clientele base expects”.
The success of their Akron based salonspa, Scott Talbot Salonspa has
inspired owners Jeff and Susan Scott and Shelly Talbot to design and build
this fabulous 11,000 square foot location. The salonspa will boast 34
styling chairs, four nail stations in a private room, four pedicure chairs
also in a private room, and a beautiful spa treatment area with one room
capable of serving two guests at the same time so you and your chosen other
can enjoy massage, facials or body treatments together instead of separately
in two different rooms. This room is very popular at the Akron Scott Talbot
location. A relaxation room for eating spa catered meals and relaxing in
between treatments will also be available for those choosing a spa package.
The guest experience will be elevated with comfort amenities like a
fireplace in the waiting area and a coffee and tea bar. There will also be a
make up bar offering a mineral based make up and Bio Elements skin care.
The lower level will house the administrative offices, call center,
warehouse and a large conference room that can be used for education and in
the future, wellness classes for our guests.
Ground breaking will commence in late March and a grand opening date is set
for November 2007. When you drive by the corner of Fulton Rd. and Whipple
Ave. look to the west of Walgreen’s on Fulton Rd. and you will see the new
salonspa grow from the ground up.
Of course, you can expect the same great service and experience that you
have been accustomed to for 33 years as well as the same top stylists you
see now. The staff is very excited to be moving to such a great location to
serve you better.
The current location of Gary’s Place North Canton will be transformed into a
new talent studio. There you will be able to enjoy services from the
apprentices that have completed a years worth of training from the
educational directors from Gary’s Place at a discounted price. Judy Cannon
will head this salon’s educational programs as well as offering services
herself. Judy will be offering advanced education for licensed stylists in
the area, so look for class offerings in 2008. Judy is considered one of the
country’s top colorist and platform educators, representing such names as
Clairol Logics, Framesi, and Loreal Paris. Look for more information on this
location in the near future.
Experienced stylists that may be interested in joining our team may apply at
one of the current salon locations.
The new location will boast the new name of Scott Talbot Salonspa, which is
the combined name of the current owners Jeff and Susan Scott and Shelly
Talbot.
